A Challenge by Any Other Name is Still…

My buddy, Mentol, took up a challenge and had the desperate need to pass it on. It’s always nice to have friends.
The challenge is to write “5 Things You Don’t Know About Me”.
- It takes 7 shots of alcohol, in 1.5 hours, to con me into doing Karaoke. It seems that much booze takes away my free will and my ability to reason out that I could have “just said No!”.
- Seeing someone use “alot” instead of “a lot” drives me totally and completely NUTS! Nobody would ever use “alittle” instead of “a lot” so why the craziness. If I had my way I’d allot having to write out “a lot” 500 times to anyone making the mistake. That would cure them. No computer so no cut and paste.
- I don’t drink coffee but I do drink tea. I drink it in a beer stein because I hate getting up to make tea after tea. Well, at least *I* call it tea. It’s more like that stuff your Grandma use to make you when you were little. Hot milk with a little bit of tea and lots of sugar.
- When I was 4 I bit (and drew blood) from the hand of a boy who had stolen the “gold” doubloon off the belt of my party dress. He grabbed it, broke the chain linked belt and wouldn’t give me back the coin. Since he was a lot bigger than me and I wanted the coin back, I chomped down. The party was ruined, parents were called, I got in trouble for embarrassing my mother but I got back my nice shiny doubloon so I was happy.
- I am THE worst on-the-spot liar ever. I need to have a plan to be able to lie. I need to think through all the twists and turns and make sure I have the whole lie completely organized. Believe me this is a tedious process so I avoid lying as best as I can. Also, I just don’t like to lie, it’s immoral. I also don’t like to be lied to and if I do catch you lying to me I never forget. So when someone asks me about their new hair colour that I don’t like, I simply say something like “I really liked you as a blonde” or if they ask how their karaoke song was I tell them “I love it when you do X song, it’s my favorite of all those that you do”. If someone asks for my honest opinion, I ask if they’re sure and then give it to them.
So those are “5 Things You Didn’t Know About Me” and I’m sure they are the 5 things you could have lived without knowing!
Seems the more challenging part was finding someone to pass this tag onto. Nobody I know blogs so I went surfing. I clicked links that took me to other links that took me to other sites and found some to tag.
Random Thoughts 101 the responses to some New Year’s Resolutions had me LOLing. The rest of the random thoughts are pretty entertaining also.
Milagros Boutique, a site for Mammas and their Miracles, offered up the name of a 70s shampoo I was looking for because I wanted to reference it in my reply on the Random Thoughts website. Thanks again.
